Over 55 diseases are connected to gluten – this is a protein found in barley, rye, and wheat. An estimated 99% of individuals who either have celiac disease or gluten-intolerance are never diagnosed.
According to recent estimates, 1% of the population is infected with celiac – an autoimmune disease that causes difficulty in digestion – and another 10% might be suffering from gluten sensitivity. Although this number may be considered low for some people, it is higher than what many people in the scientific community had expected.
The protein found in what is called gluten, and there is no scientific evidence to prove that removing it from a diet has any effect apart from intolerance to gluten and those with celiac disease. Frequent mood swings:
Severe and frequent mood swings may be observed in individuals with the intolerance to gluten. Do you feel anxious, depressed, or excessively active? Give attention to periods when these continuous mood changes take place.
This is also referred to as chicken skin due to elevated bumps on the skin surface. These are caused by the inability to properly absorb vitamin A and fatty acids. This symptom occurs after damage to the intestine as a result of continuous exposure to gluten in the long run.
A common cause of aching joints and knees is inflammation. Gluten can result in an increase in swelling of the body for some people.
Continuous irregular digestion is one of the common symptoms. Others include bloating, excessive gas, diarrhea, and constipation.
